There are many different database systems available to store your data which can be broken into two major groups: Server Databases and Desktop databases. The most common and popular server databases today are: SQL Server and Oracle. One of the most popular desktop databases is MS Access. Also popular desktop ones are FoxPro and dBase.

We offer MS SQL Server for high traffic database-driven web sites and MS Access for low traffic and cheaper ones. Both SQL Server and MS Access databases are SQL databases. (SQL is the language for accessing databases) In addition SQL Server offers many server utilities such as Data Transformation Services, scheduling jobs, high level security mechanism. SQL Server has a built-in VB Script and uses powerful Transact SQL for data manipulation. SQL Server is a very powerful, robust and full featured SQL database system.

MS Access offers both SQL and VBA languages which in conjunction makes it very powerful tool. In fact, Access VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) is the most advanced one from the VBA family languages. However Access is not well suited for very high-traffic, multi user environments and is not as powerful as SQL Server for database driven WEB applications, although it offers very powerful and inexpensive client site network based non server tool

There are several hosting environments available: Windows, UNIX, Linux. We use Windows hosting. This means that our WEB service, databases, server scripting and programs run on the Windows operating system. We use Java and VB scripts for client and server scripting and Active Server Pages (ASP) - server-side scripting technology developed by Microsoft. ASP is a standard component in Windows 95,98, 2000, and XP.
